Hi, I’m Melissa — the creator of The Everwell House Kitchen.
By day, I work in the world of science and biotech, where precision, quality, and process guide every decision. But at home — in my kitchen — is where my heart feels most alive. Cooking has always been where my creativity meets care, where I express love, and where I bring people together.
The Everwell House was born from the idea of blending these worlds: the structure and intention of my scientific background with the warmth, beauty, and nourishment of elevated home cooking.
My vision is simple — to create spaces and moments that feel nourishing, balanced, and beautiful. Whether that’s a meal, a gathering, or one day a stay at the Everwell House, my goal is to help people feel cared for and connected.
I'm honored you're here, and I can't wait to share this journey with you.

The Heart Behind Everwell
Where nourishment, balance, and belonging come together.
My Story
I grew up surrounded by food in two very different, but deeply influential ways.
My mom was the quintessential country home cook from North Carolina: warm, comforting dishes that brought everyone together and made the kitchen the heart of the home. My dad, on the other hand, was a trained chef. I spent countless hours beside him, watching technique, learning flavor, and seeing what it meant to cook with intention.
Those two worlds shaped me:
the soulfulness of home cooking + the precision of professional technique.
They’re the foundation of how I cook today — food that feels comforting and deeply familiar, yet elevated, thoughtful, and intentional.
As I built my career in biotech and pharma operations, cooking remained my balance, my creativity, and my grounding. Over time, I realized everything I loved — wellness, connection, scientific intention, and the joy of feeding people — was leading me toward something bigger.
That dream became Everwell.
The Long-Term Vision
One day, Everwell House will open its doors as a Colorado mountain retreat — a place centered on nourishment, rest, and meaningful experiences.
Until then, I’m building that dream through thoughtfully curated meals, gatherings, and connections — bringing the Everwell experience to your home and your table.
Join the Journey - and follow me along as this dream comes to fruition.
Things I Believe
-
Food is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways we connect.
A shared table slows us down, invites conversation, and creates memories that linger long after the meal ends.
To me, cooking is an act of care — a way to say “you’re welcome here” without needing any words at all. -
I believe the most beautiful food comes from ingredients that are in season and prepared with intention.
Seasonality brings vibrancy, nourishment, and a sense of place to every dish.
When we let ingredients shine in their peak moment, cooking becomes simpler, more intuitive, and far more enjoyable. -
Nourishment is a daily practice.
My background in science has taught me that longevity and balance aren’t built through extremes — they’re shaped by consistent, thoughtful choices.
I believe in food that supports well-being: dishes that fuel, comfort, and elevate the way we move through life. -
Gathering is essential to the human experience.
A thoughtfully prepared meal has the power to make people feel seen, welcomed, and connected.
Whether around a dining table or a kitchen island, I believe in creating moments that feel warm, effortless, and memorable. -
True nourishment is multidimensional.
It’s the flavor and comfort of the food itself, but also the feeling of belonging, the joy of sharing, and the calm that settles in when you’re cared for.
I create dishes that feed more than hunger — they create space to breathe, savor, and reconnect.
